 Kokoro no Hikari
Morning's soft whisper,
Grace drifts through the waking heart,
Love shines, needing none.

Artist’s Statement

My work is rooted in a profound dialogue between the visible and the invisible, the outer world and the inner  landscape. Through photography, I seek to capture moments where memory, symbol and spirit converge, places that invite both reflection and transformation.

The ancient wisdom of the Gospel of Thomas, discovered near Nag Hammadi in Egypt, has resonated deeply with  me. This text, often marginalized by institutional traditions, speaks to a timeless truth: That the divine is not distant but intimately present within us.

"When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are

Children of the Living Father.

But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty and you are the poverty."

This resonates as a call towards self-knowledge as the path to awakening and unity. At the heart of this journey is  the presence of the Divine—both immanent and transcendent. In the teachings of Jesus, especially those echoed in  the Gospel of Thomas, we are reminded of the kingdom of God within.

Jesus, for me, is not only a historical figure  but a living symbol of inner resurrection, compassion and divine presence. His life speaks of radical love, spiritual awakening and a call to return to the Source—the living God who dwells within each of us.

This journey of inner discovery is mirrored in the symbols of ancient Egypt - Isis, Osiris, Anubis and the cobra, each that embody death, rebirth, protection and transformation. These images surface in my work not as relics of a  distant past, but as living metaphors for the cycles of becoming and the sacred mysteries that inhabit the everyday.

For me, photography is both an act of seeing and a form of communication—a way to peer beyond surface  appearances into the deeper layers of reality. It is a practice that requires patience, openness and a willingness to dwell in paradox.

I acknowledge that this exploration may feel elusive or abstract, especially in a world shaped by rapid consumption and concrete certainties. Yet I offer these photographs and reflections not as answers, but as invitations—to pause, to observe, and perhaps to recognise a flicker of the sacred within and around us.

In this light, photography becomes a bridge, a language between worlds, an alchemical space where light, shadow and symbol converge to reveal the hidden threads that connect all things. It is through this lens that I hope to  invite viewers to embark on their own journey of remembering, becoming and deep connection.

This work is an offering, a quiet invitation to meet the sacred in the ordinary, to find the divine within the self, and  to glimpse the vast unity that underlies our shared existence.

May these images be like whispers from the stillness—echoes of a truth long known,

gently calling you home…
